Overview – GiveBackHack Cleveland, 2019
On September 20th to 22nd of 2019, Cleveland hosted its 3rd GiveBackHack at StartMart, Tower City where 65 participants committed their entire weekend to build social impact ideas into reality.
On Sunday evening, 7 teams presented to a panel of judges:
ADAM, Winner – First Place (Tied), $2,500 from The Cleveland Foundation
ADAM aims to promote aquatic health through educational engagement. The team demoed a prototype to test water quality over the GiveBackHack weekend after leveraging citizen science!
Transition to Doula Project, Winner – First Place (Tied), $2,500 from The Cleveland Foundation
Their aim is to help returning citizens gain Doula training and they were also our crowd favorite winner.
OD Greens, Winner – Second Place, $1,500 from The Cleveland Foundation
OD Greens Mental Health Tracking is rooted deep in user empathy & need – “As a mental health professional and a veteran myself (Team Lead), I know that we don’t have the data we need to help vets rehabilitate into normal life.” OD Greens will help vets with PTSD track and improve their mental health!
unCLEar, Winner – Third Place (Tied), $1,000 from The Cleveland Foundation
unCLEar is unifying Cleveland Artists by democratizing the public art creation.
Vol&Tel, Winner – of the In-Kind Appreciative Inquiry session from the Fowler Center of Business as an Agent of World Benefit!
Vol & Tell is a platform that connects volunteers and non-profits since both don’t have an effective platform in NEO.
PathFinder, Winner – of the In-Kind Appreciative Inquiry session from the Fowler Center of Business as an Agent of World Benefit!
Pathfinder is a summer program to help high school students determine their career path before starting college.

Integrates beekeeping into communities through community supported apiaries and also intend on disrupting the beekeeping industry by essentially ‘uberizing’ beekeeping
